It is called the land of the free, but everything seems to have a price. In fact, the higher a price you pay for things, the more respect and admiration you receive. Movie stars and athletes are revered not only for their fame, but also for the lavish lifestyles that fame affords them. Wildly overpriced SUVs have become the status symbol of the new millennium, with every car manufacturer scrambling to cash in on this new windfall, regardless of the socio-economic and ecological repercussions. Yes, in America it even costs money to be healthy. While most first world countries realize that healthcare is a basic human right to be provided socially, we feel the profit generated by our hospitals and doctors' practices are just too lucrative to pass up. Money is so important to us that we will even export our manufacturing to third world counties for cheaper labor, regardless of the collapsing U.S. job market. But are these savings passed on to the consumer? Of course not, they just add to a greater profit margin and larger year-end bonuses for the multi-billionaire company executives. And as ENRON recently showed, the bottom line is more important than anything, including honest accounting and the livelihood of your employees. Yes, America truly is one nation, under the dollar.

Afghan Kush (AK)
The original ‘AK’, brought from the heart of the Hindu Kush mountain range where its genotype has been selected and perfected over centuries to be the ultimate source of cannabis resin. Fragrant north Indian charas and sticky black Afghani hashish are both largely produced from Kush plants — a subset of the Indica family which may be considered definitive examples of that line. Afghan Kush produces a heavy yield and remains compact, especially working with clones. Growers who flower their original seed plants will notice a jump in height at the onset of blooming, due to this strain’s natural vigour. Leaves are broad-bladed and dark green. Afghan Kush buds develop into massive, blunt-topped, resin-saturated nuggets of pure Indica goodness. |

Kush & OJ response

VIBE.COM: Yesterday, your new mixtape, Kush & Orange Juice, got a tonof free publicity thanks to the #kushandorangejuice hashtag you started late Tuesday night. It was the number-one trending topic on Twitter for most of the day—and it's still trending today. Did you have any idea it would become as big a deal as it has?
WIZ KHALIFA: I'm gonna go out on a limb and say... Yes, I did! [Laughs] But that's only because I planned it like that. The mixtape was done last month, but I really wanted to do it up and make sure something like this would happen. I feel like I picked the perfect time and it's worked out perfectly.
A lot of artists try to get things to trend just for the fact of doing it and having that happen. I feel like when it happens, it's supposed to be organic. Our little motto is "Taylor Gang or Die" and three or four days before I dropped the tape, thatstarted trending on its own. I was like, 'Cool, it's getting to be that time.' So that's why when I did #kushandorangejuice, people latched straight onto it...and it spread like wildfire.
You got to use your powers [on Twitter] wisely. You got to build up your powers. A year ago, I probably had like 5,000 followers on Twitter and I couldn't have done nothing like this. But just by staying consistent on there, my fans have really stuck behind me. All of that led up to this point. And I'm just going to keep killing it. [Laughs] I got some more tricks up my sleeve, too. —As told to Chris Yuscavage

;)
From you have I been absent in the spring, When proud-pied April, dress'd in all his trim, Hath put a spirit of youth in everything, That heavy Saturn laugh'd and leap'd with him. Yet nor the lays of birds, nor the sweet smell Of different flowers in odour and in hue, Could make me any summer's story tell, Or from their proud lap pluck them where they grew; Nor did I wonder at the Lily's white, Nor praise the deep vermillion in the Rose; They were but sweet, but figures of delight, Drawn after you, you pattern of all those. ...Yet seem'd it Winter still, and, you away, ...As with your shadow I with these did play |
